When you visit our websites, we collect data on each access to the server on which this service is located on the basis of our legitimate interests within the meaning of Art. 6 (1f) DSGVO. The access data includes the name of the website accessed, file, date and time of access, amount of data transferred, notification of successful access, browser type and version, the user's operating system, referrer URL (the website visited before, IP address and the requesting provider).
use-media also has a legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1f) DSGVO in analyzing your usage behavior in a pseudonymized form in order to determine the right content needs and improve our services. use-media does not use any third-party service for this purpose, but only evaluates the corresponding server data. The IP address is automatically masked for this purpose. We cannot identify you personally through this usage analysis. Log file information is stored for security reasons (e.g. to clarify abuse or fraud) for a maximum of seven days and then deleted. Data whose further storage is necessary for evidentiary purposes will remain stored until the final clarification of the respective incident.
Server log files (IP address, name of the retrieved file, date and time of the retrieval, amount of data transferred, status of the retrieval (successful / unsuccessful), browser type and operating system of the end device as well as URL of the previously accessed page (so-called "referrer URL")) are processed for each page request. This processing is absolutely necessary to ensure the establishment of the connection and the smooth use of our websites and is based on Art. 6 para.1b) DSGVO. This information is stored for a maximum of 7 days and then deleted. The collection of data for the provision of the website and the storage of the data in log files is mandatory for the operation of the website, in this regard there is no possibility for the user to object.
The data is also processed for evaluations of system security and stability and, if there is a specific reason, also for the clarification of legal violations (e.g. for the clarification of acts of abuse or fraud) due to an overriding legitimate interest in improving stability and functionality as well as clarification in accordance with Art. 6 para.1f) DSGVO. Data whose further storage is required for evidentiary purposes will remain stored until the final clarification of the respective incident.
Our website uses so-called "cookies". These are small text files that are stored on your computer and in which information for recognition is documented. This does not allow us to identify you as a person. We use cookies exclusively to improve our website in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 f DS-GVO. Currently, we only use session cookies. These are automatically deleted after the end of your visit.

The captchas are generated and verified on the servers of use-media. No data is transmitted to third parties in this process.
When registering for a use-media newsletter, the master and contact data you enter will be used exclusively for the purpose of using the respective newsletter service. The data that is entered in the respective registration mask during registration is collected. Only your e-mail address is required for the delivery of the respective newsletter, all other information you provide voluntarily.
You can revoke your consent in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 a) DSGVO to the storage of your data and use for newsletter delivery by use-media at any time for the future. You will find a corresponding link in each newsletter. Your data will remain stored by use-media until you revoke your consent.
If you contact us via the contact form, we store title, first name, last name, your contact details (e-mail address and telephone number, if applicable) and the content of the message. We use this data exclusively to process your inquiry and to communicate with you regarding your request. The processing is necessary for this and is based on Art. 6 para. 1 b DSGVO. Data will not be passed on to third parties. The data will be deleted 1 year after processing your request. If there is a contractual relationship, we delete the data after the statutory retention period (six or 10 years).
For the operation of our LinkedIn career page, use-media and LinkedIn are jointly responsible under data protection law. use-media uses the LinkedIn platform to promote our company and our quality as an employer and to make it easier for you to contact us. Processing of personal data by LinkedIn
When you visit our LinkedIn page, LinkedIn collects, among other things, your IP address and other information that is present on your PC in the form of cookies. Processing of personal data by use-media
use-media is responsible for data protection when you contact us via our LinkedIn page. We use this data solely for the purpose of responding to your request or for contacting you and the associated technical administration. The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest in responding to your request in accordance with Art. 6 (1) f) DSGVO. If your contact is aimed at the conclusion of a contract, Art. 6 (1) b) DSGVO applies; possibly in conjunction with § 26 BDSG as the legal basis. Your data will be deleted at use-media after processing has been completed, provided that there are no legal obligations to retain data.

When logging into the administration area of our software solutions, we collect and process the following data:

The functionality of our software is monitored by us. Problems that occur in the software are automatically sent to use-media and processed immediately.
